Dixie Pottery Gallery and Studio combines a gallery with a pottery studio. We have a collection of fine art pottery, paintings and clay sculpture in our gallery section and the rest is studio space dedicated to classes in wheel throwing and clay building with slabs, coils and forms. Intermediate and experienced potters can use studio space by the month and have their work fired. We are certain you will enjoy the clay experience with us as a gallery visitor or as a student.

In the early days I studied ceramics at Canada's leading art school of
the time The Ontario College of Art. My wife Patricia, also an artist, received
a BFA in painting/ studio arts from the University of Chicago. We've spent
the last twenty years working in wheel thrown pottery / sculpture, and painting,
selling our work through the myriad of outdoor art and craft shows and galleries
throughout Central and South Eastern United States.
Over
the years we have launched thousands of pots and hundreds of paintings into
the universe and participated in hundreds of shows / exhibitions. We enjoy
sharing our experience and knowledge with anyone interested in art, pottery
or participating in the art / pottery market place.
We
hope that the gallery and studio will serve to not only provide instruction
and gallery space but also encourage interest in the community for the joy
and healthful benefits of making things with our hands in this new age of
sitting and clicking.
